During a month-long placement at Signal Films, I led a series of experimental art workshops for Cumbrian residents. Photographs and video installations made by six of the participants will be exhibited at the Art Gene Gallery, Barrow-in-Furness in February 2010.
PLAYING WITH LIGHT: These workshops will invite groups to discover how projected light can be used to explore themes of memory and imagination. Through playful studio experiments using video projectors, glass and mirrors, groups will manipulate still and moving images to create new artworks, transforming familiar environments into abstract or otherworldly scenes.
